Her still body was half submerged in a crimson pool of blood, her chest rose with shallow pants as her frigid breath struggled to fill her broken lungs. All around her fairies fluttered in a frantic rush, not knowing how to save her yet refusing to accept her approaching death. Even the corrupt fairies wailed with anguish and regret, burying their weeping faces in their small hands. Suddenly the heavens parted and a golden angel descended upon the tragic scene. Her long hair falling in cascading curls to her waist, her lips curved in a sad smile that touched her gentle eyes, her graceful wings shielding the unmoving form of our wounded one. The angel touched her soft fingers to the girl’s cold brow, her tears rained on the open wounds. The fairies all stood as still as statues the only movement was their rapidly falling tears which mixed with the river welling up and out of the angles bright shining eyes, as the soothing balm of tears washed over the girl releasing her of the pain of betrayal, she opened her eyes looked at all the worried faces around her and smiled “I love you all”
Love such a strong emotion one that can be as sharp as a sward or as gentle as a baby’s kiss…love almost killed her yet it was love that ultimately saved her…love is all that matters and through love the shattered fragments of her heart fused back together and filled her with such a sense of well being that sustained her happiness till the end of her days.
